Life can be overwhelming and difficult at times. My goal is to provide with you with a safe, supportive, and goal-oriented environment where you can leave therapy feeling empowered, refreshed, and more optimistic about your life.
I am trained in the use of CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT, mind-body, humanistic, and psychodynamic treatment modalities. There are many different “schools” of therapy, and I believe strongly that the best approach is an adaptable one. This means I will combine elements of these treatments to suit your particular goals. I hold two master’s degrees; one in clinical psychology and one in clinical social work.
In session I am warm, accepting, affirming, and I bring my sense of humor. I have a strong focus on mindfulness, which I am happy to include in our sessions. Due to my activism in the LGBTQ community I was named one of the top “40 under 40” most influential gay people in America by Advocate Magazine. Outside of session I love to travel, enjoy a vegan lifestyle, go to concerts, and spend time with my partner. I look forward to working with you!
