LGBTQ therapy to help LGBTQ people love themselves and each other.

LGBTQ Low Self-Esteem

Overcoming Low Self-Esteem and
Inner Homophobia

Every LGBT person needs to put work into loving themselves.

All of us have been raised in a culture that wrongly assumes that being straight is better than being gay.

The impact of growing up and living in a family and a world that marginalizes gay people is profound. Many of us were flooded with shame at a young age when we were not equipped to deal with it.

Gay low self esteem

Feelings of shame may be unconscious.

Our work will bring these feelings to awareness where they can be compassionately examined and then left behind, resulting in a much happier life. This is our mission.

Our work will help you reduce the strength of your Inner Critic. Take our Inner Critic self-survey here.

You don’t have to suffer from low self-esteem. We will guide you through the process of changing self-defeating thoughts and habits. We will help you engage with the part of you that wants to stop abandoning yourself.

“The concept of loving yourself has lost its power to inspire us because it was overused in cheesy popular media. We are in an ironic time and loving yourself sounds sappy, and very 1980s.” — From blog post: Gay Men Loving Themselves
