I believe that while joy is part of the human experience, so is struggle, and what we do with our struggle determines our ability to grow. Because I’m human, I know what it’s like to struggle and I feel that one of the resources we all need to move through challenges is a safe and loving place to share what is really going on.

As a therapist, my goal is to provide this place for you so that you may share your experience with someone who is warm, approachable and non-judgmental. Together we can look at what is and isn’t working in your life right now in a calm and interactive way. We’ll increase your self-awareness and build upon the strength you already have.

In my practice, I work with individuals, couples and families. I also have a background in Early Childhood Education and, although I don’t always focus on the past, I do understand the importance of early life experiences and a solid sense of self.

I believe in the ability to relieve pain through personal empowerment. In my work, I value doing insight-oriented work by exploring and understanding the root of personal patterns. I seek to balance this work with tangible, useful tools for daily living and coping strategies through a more cognitive-behavioral approach.

I have a strong, personal investment in working within the LGBTQ community. My other passions include, but are not limited to, working with individuals in their adolescent years, those struggling with bipolar disorder, as well the challenges of various addiction issues. I am able to listen to many different life stories, connect easily, and tailor treatment to your individual needs. I am deeply committed to helping people engage in the process of personal growth.
