LGBTQ therapy to help LGBTQ people love themselves and each other.

Manuel: Finding Confidence and Freedom

When Manuel began therapy he was experiencing anxiety, panic disorder, and seasonal depression.

Most of all, he felt intense anxiety when separated from his partner and had become overly reliant on him.

Sometimes change in therapy happens quickly. After one session of Brainspotting, Manuel felt an immediate shift. Brainspotting is an offshoot of the more well-known Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) technique. It is a brain-based therapy for treating trauma through eye movements. In that first session, Manuel revisited some terrifying childhood experiences and was about to reprocess them in a new way.

Soon after, he was able to travel alone for the first time and no longer needed anxiety medication for flights. As he continued to work in therapy, Manuel flourished. He began dressing as the always wanted to, in styles that drew greater attention. Manuel became confident.
