Pronouns: He, Him
A warm welcome to you!
Hi there, I’m Rishad. If there’s something I’ve learned after having experienced my own healing is that I can only be myself. Real. Relatable. Rooted. Authentic. Tell-it-like-it-is. Simple in the right ways, deep in others.
We can be curious together, poke around some of your blind spots, and see what’s working for you, and what’s not. We can also learn to smile and laugh along the way. Humor is such a big part of the healing process. The drier, the better.
What I know is that I’ll always have your back. I’m not here to just nod and smile but also to gently challenge and help you grow. It may get harder, but it will also get better. Change for its own sake doesn’t last. Change with motivation and meaning does.
Let’s talk about you:
- Are you the outsider looking in? Feeling isolated and powerless to change things? Feeling low on self-esteem?
- Has your anxiety got you stuck in a loop? Are you hiding your deep-rooted shame that holds you back from your real potential? Where do you go from here?
- Has the “magic” vanished from your relationship? Has it taken your sense of confidence with it? Is this no longer what you had once signed-up for? Are communication and trust major issues?
What do I do? How can I help?
I’m a gay-identifying, BIPOC therapist (he/him) who is both proud and passionate about serving his tribe. My ideology is framed by both Eastern and Western approaches. Some of my go-to orientations include: Brainspotting, Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM), Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I’m enthusiastic about working on issues such as: anxiety, depression, trauma, major life transitions, coming out, polyamory, sex positivity, and couples and relationship issues.
Reach out to me and let’s begin your shift by reflecting, exploring, and enlivening your joy and inner wisdom.
