I believe we all have the ability to live full, rich, rewarding lives. We hold ourselves back through negative thinking, anxiety, self-doubt and avoiding vulnerability. I am direct and open, and will guide you in making real changes in your life.
I help people love themselves more, quiet their minds, and embrace the lives they truly want. Therapy with me will be challenging, fun, freeing, honest, and without judgment.
I love working with couples and I work to help each person feel understood, loved, and valued in the relationship. True intimacy is about connection and communication. In most relationships we have the ability to work through anything with guidance and support.
I received my Master’s degree from Columbia School of Social Work and completed post graduate training at The Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. I specialize in depression, anxiety, relationship issues, substance abuse, trauma, and body image issues, among others. I have an eclectic approach that integrates my psychodynamic training along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Gottman Method, and Mindfulness.
I became passionate about mental health through my own personal experiences with trauma. I have experienced firsthand the power of therapy and the extent to which we can heal. Outside of therapy I love singing, dancing, finding new ways to exercise, writing comical poems, enjoying the outdoors, and all things cats. I am excited to help you on your journey and I hope you reach out!
