I help clients achieve their goals in therapy by guiding them to access deeper levels of intimacy and connection within themselves as well as within their most important relationships.
Clients enter therapy with a strong understanding of the life they desire and envision for themselves. They also know that they have some distance to cover within themselves in order to get there. In therapy, I honor this innate intelligence and treat it as the enduring ingredient to lasting change.
In therapy we navigate away from the learned ways to self-protect and stay safe. With gentleness and patience we heal the trauma and the resulting fear.
Upon a solid foundation of training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and mind-body healing, I am trained in multiple evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches including: EMDR, addiction, sex addiction, trauma-informed therapy, boundaries, codependence and enmeshment.
I am also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). As a CSAT, I have been trained to work with partners and adult children of sex addicts impacted by the discovery of their family member’s addiction.
I have a MA in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and received my BA in History from University of California, Los Angeles.
