LGBTQ therapy to help LGBTQ people love themselves and each other.

Kenneth, LGBTQ Therapist in San Francisco

LGBTQ Therapist San Francisco DC Kenneth Pronouns: He, Him

My favorite thing to do is meet new people and be exposed to new ideas and ways of thinking. Being a therapist allows me to do just that. I work with clients to empower them to become authentic self or whomever they want to be. As a therapist I get to continually challenge my own assumptions about life as I work to challenge the thoughts of clients to help promote their healing, awareness, and self-esteem.

“I’m not sure how to be in relationship with others.” “I don’t know how to do the things that I used to enjoy anymore.” “How will as I as a Latino gay man insert myself into spaces that do not feel welcoming to people like me?” These are a few of the frequent concerns I hear from my clients. It is absolutely possible to figure out the answers to these questions. Even the simple act of talking about the issue can provide relief from stress and pressure.

My primary specialty is the intersection between an LGBTQ identity and members of any ethnic marginalized group.

With my life experience as a black, gay male, and my LGBTQ competent clinical training, I have worked to understand the lives of LGBTQ people outside of my own experience while holding empathy for our common identity.

In terms of licensing and credentials, I am a LPCC in the State of CA and a LCPC in the State of IL. I currently hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a BS degree in Public Administration from The University of Texas at Dallas.

Therapy can be a life-changing chapter on the road to full mental health and well being. I invite you to come in and challenge yourself to seek clarity, work towards understanding, and investigate how you might be able to live the way that you want.
