I am passionate about my work as a therapist, grateful to be doing what I love, and honored to be of service to my LGBTQIA community. I use an integrated approach to therapy that welcomes your whole being – your thoughts, feelings, body awareness, and spirit. I emphasize present-moment awareness as the foundation to our therapeutic work, and I pay close attention to our moment-to-moment interactions.

As clients develop deeper awareness they frequently realize a myriad of choices that previously were not within the realm of what seemed possible. This awareness can help us move from feeling stuck. It also can help ease anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Clients in therapy frequently tell me they experience less suffering, have more fulfilling relationships, and are able to gain a deeper sense of what they truly want.

I welcome everyone, but I particularly enjoy working with couples. I find myself uniquely alive when in contact with folks who have different lived experiences than mine. I am white and identify as queer, cisgender, and able-bodied. I am sex-positive and kink friendly.

My own experience as a client with a nurturing therapist was instrumental in my healing process as I grappled with coming out as a gay man. That’s where I learned to welcome and love parts of myself I had fought to suppress and keep hidden. I strive to foster a similarly warm and healing process for my clients.

I hold a M.A. in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I grew up in Ohio but have lived in San Francisco since 1989. I have been partnered with my husband for over 25 years, and we are guardians for our mini-dachshund, Zoe. I enjoy hiking, walking, traveling, exploration, music, and dancing.
