Pronouns: They, Them
I am a queer and non-binary/genderqueer psychotherapist who is passionate about working with individuals and couples who are struggling with trauma/abuse, gender/sexual identity, anxiety, depression, substance use, acculturation, racial identity exploration, and dismantling internalized inferiority and/or superiority.
I have extensive experience working with sexuality/gender, kinks, consensual non-monogamy, and polyamory. I also have experience providing written documentation in support of gender affirming medical care for transgender and gender expansive individuals.
Working with diverse populations has changed my approach to therapy to ensure that it is more adaptable, accessible, and demystified. Challenging, accountability, validation, and curiosity are important features of my approach to my work with clients. Together we collaborate to (re)claim your authentic self through a process of creativity, playfulness, compassion, somatic/imagination exercises, and critical reflection.
As a lifelong advocate and accomplice for dismantling oppressive systems, and I am actively engaged in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives for two organizations: Montefiore Medical Center and Point Park University.
I am a proud cancer survivor. I have lived experience with and continue to engage in my own therapeutic healing surrounding trauma, abuse, sex work, my own gender and sexual identities, and the loss of my brother.
Honesty, transparency, and authenticity are important traits I bring into our therapeutic space. If you’re looking for a therapist to actively engage and hold you accountable to achieving your goals, then I urge you to reach out to me today.
