Therapeutic change cannot happen without a strong connection to your therapist. I believe that it is not only my job to create a safe space for you to explore, but to also know you and learn your story.
Once that is established you and I will work together to create a plan based on the specific issues that you want to resolve. I will be an active participant in your journey and throughout this process I will partner with you, support, and guide you.
I will tailor our work towards what works best for you. I draw from my 16 years of experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, rational emotive therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and strength-based work. I am particularly experienced in helping clients with anxiety, loneliness, panic, love, illness, life transitions, stress, parenting, depression, and loss.
I came out as a lesbian when I was 30 years old. It was on one hand beautiful and on the other hand it was emotional and painful. My therapist at the time was instrumental in guiding and gently challenging me. That process changed me at a core level. It also shaped the type of therapist that I am today.
I look forward to hearing from you.
